The Beethoven Project Trio  The Beethoven Project Trio
The piece is an original reworking, by Beethoven himself, of his String Trio, Op. 3, though he finished only the first movement. The piano part abounds in forte and piano contrasts that lend surprise and color.”

On The Balkan Project, their second and newest Cedille Records CD, Spanish-born flutist Eugenia Moliner and Bosnian-born guitarist Denis Azabagic expand the boundaries of flute and guitar music with a program of more than a dozen works inspired by traditional Balkan folk songs and dances.  Nine of the compositions were commissioned by and dedicated to the Cavatina Duo and are world-premiere recordings.
Biber: Mensa Sonora  Biber: Mensa Sonora
Biber’s Mensa Sonora (meaning ‘Harmonious Table’) was music composed for aristocratic dining, though it is anything but superficial background music. The disc closes with the 10-part Battalia for strings, which uses several unique devices for the time: hitting the strings with the wood of the bow, placing paper under the strings of the basses to imitate a snare drum, snap pizzicatos, and folk songs rendered simultaneously in several different keys to portray drunken soldiers.
